Description
As a Workshop & Structure Technician at PT Garuda Maintenance Facility Aero Asia Tbk (GMF), you will be responsible for performing inspection, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of aircraft structures, components, and related equipment to ensure they meet airworthiness, quality, and reliability standards. You will carry out workshop activities, including structural repairs and component restoration, in accordance with approved maintenance manuals, manufacturer instructions, applicable aviation regulations, and GMF quality and safety procedures. In this role, you will perform aircraft structure inspection, repair, restoration, and refurbishment, including structural component repair and related workshop activities. You will ensure all work is carried out in accordance with approved maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, manufacturer instructions, and applicable aviation regulations while maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation. You will work closely with engineers, inspectors, and other maintenance personnel to ensure structural repair and workshop activities are completed safely, efficiently, and within the required turnaround time.
Requirements
Applicants must Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering graduates with a minimum D3 (Diploma 3) qualification. Understand the fundamentals of aircraft structures, structural components, materials, and repair techniques. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, structural repair manuals (SRM), and other relevant maintenance documentation. Proficient in the use of hand tools, workshop equipment, and precision measuring instruments. Basic troubleshooting and structural damage assessment skills. Understanding of Quality, Safety, and Human Factors principles in aircraft maintenance operations. Experience in aircraft structural repair, sheet metal work, composite materials, or related workshop activities. Knowledge or experience in machining, special processes, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), or technical drawing/drafting will be an advantage.
